New Home For Breakfast/Lunch
Program
In May this year Calvary Church will begin renovations
to the kitchen, dinning hall and other parts of the building
which SHIP uses for the Breakfast/Lunch Program. On April 18 the
Breakfast/Lunch Program will move to the United Methodist Church
of Summit, located on 17 Kent Pl Blvd. The work is expected to
be completed sometime in the fourth quarter of 2016 at which
time we will return to Calvary Church.

Century 21 Emma Realtors in Summit conducted a
successful food drive among its agents and clients for SHIP’s
benefit.
Overlook Hospital Departments
SHIP thanks the 4th floor Operating Room and Radiology
Department employees for their food drives and their generous
support of SHIP’s mission.
MIGroup, Whippany, NJ
Thanks to the MIGroup for selecting SHIP as the
beneficiary of its company wide food drive.
Oak Knoll School’s Day of Caring
SHIP salutes the students and staff of Oak Knoll School
for supporting SHIP through its annual Day of Caring. Student
sous chefs prepared large bowls of tuna and chicken salad for
SHIP brown bag lunches.
Luminary Fund
SHIP thanks the Luminary Fund, supported by the
citizens of Summit, for its continued generous financial
support.
The Girl Scout Troops at
Washington School
The Girl Scouts held a holiday food drive and named
SHIP as the beneficiary of their work. SHIP anticipates that the
scouts’ efforts will carry SHIP well into spring 2014 with ample
supplies of cold cereal, oatmeal, hot chocolate, and other
items.

on Wed. Nov. 20, 2013 a great success!
First and Third Grade Students at
Brayton School
The first and third grade students conducted a
Thanksgiving week food drive at Brayton and collected enough
breakfast cereal and other items to last through much of the
2014 winter season.
Central Presbyterian Church Youth
Group
The youth group at CPC held a congregation wide food
drive for SHIP collecting a six to eight week supply of
non-perishable food items.
The Beacon Hill Tavern and
Restaurant
The Beacon Hill conducted a second fund raising event
during Thanksgiving week which netted almost $700 for SHIP.

The management at Beacon Hill generously provided a
portion of all receipts collected during a week-long fund drive.
Supplemented by contributions from patrons, SHIP received almost
$1,700.
The Brownie Troop and its leaders
at Franklin School
The Brownies collected approximately a six month supply
of breakfast foods for SHIP. The leaders organized the event as
a competition between the classes at Franklin.
