Volunteers
SHIP is a team effort by committed volunteers from the community.
Individuals, local organizations, and congregations are invited to
volunteer. SHIP has many opportunities for you to help in our
breakfast/bag lunch program, the weekend dinner program, and our
other special and annual events found below.
How You Can Help... Volunteer!!
There are many areas where we could use your help:
- Help prepare meals at the breakfast or dinner programs
- Pick up and deliver food items donated by stores,
schools & restaurants
- Provide baked goods such as cookies or brownies, left
over party platters or banquet foods
- Sponsor food collections to benefit SHIP
- Donate produce from your vegetable garden
- Help with events such as the Annual
Dinner, Food Drives and other opportunities
SHIP provides community service hour opportunities for
individuals and groups. This is a great opportunity for
students to fulfill their community service requirements.
